Honiton bride ground handkerchief

Very good condition, occasional detached bride. One corner edge flower shows frayed half-stitch.

Snails/slugs style, well done. Typical 'hedge row' design with roses, leaves, thistles, and a border of kind of turkey tail flowers. Note the buds done soly in 10-stick. Square and other woven tallies. Picoted brides.

A tag saying 'Jesurum' is sewn to the cloth. This was part of a lot of handkerchiefs, all different styles, which  were purchased at Jesurum.The seller showed them in a 'Produzioni Jesurum Venezia' box. Obviously English Honiton, not an Italian product.
